History since 1982
A passion that dates back to the 1960s.
How it all began
Founder Paolo Malfer was only 13 years old when he attended middle school (then agricultural vocational school).
He was the only boy in a class full of girls. During technical application classes, if not supervised by the principal, he was sent to the library, free to explore books and new subjects.
That’s where Paolo discovered a book that would change his life. It was a book dedicated to sparkling wine production, describing every step in detail. The young Paolo became fascinated and attempted to recreate the process at home.

A few days later, eager with anticipation, he returned to the cellar… but all the corks had popped and wine had spilled everywhere.
Bracing for parental scolding, Paolo kept calm, reread the instructions, and found the error. he had used standard corks instead of pressure-resistant ones. The CO₂ produced during "prise de mousse" (the formation of bubbles) had forced them out. So, he resealed the bottles properly with secured corks tied with wire.
That Christmas of 1963, the family toasted with Paolo’s first sparkling wine – what would later become Reví.

Reví Winery Today
Today the winery is run by the second generation: Stefano and Giacomo Malfer, who transformed their father Paolo’s passion into one of the most recognized Trentodoc sparkling houses, developing a brand that combines craftsmanship and continuous innovation.

“The name Reví comes from the toponym 'Re del vino' (King of Wine), referring to a land historically suited for winemaking.”
